Never consistent with any of their food, not good business and they don't speak much english. The food is pretty good, some times..... when they get your order right at least. We placed an order a few days ago, when the food came the order was wrong. We called back and were told they would send the "right" order. Nothing ever came. We called back and were placed on hold with no one coming to take our call. This went on a few times. We waited over 2 hours for nothing.

ABSOLUTELY MEDIOCRE FOOD!!! Asked for olive oil and brought the worst quality cheap cooking oil possible. Come on people? Is that how you treat customers? Slow service... cold food... Dry bland cold fish and old/dry fried fish!!! With so much competition around... If you have the time, check this amazing Spanish restaurant just by the number 1 train -231st: "Hola España"!!!! Amazing food, beautiful place, outstanding food quality and presentation... And now... What makes it unbelievable: with the $7.95 delicious lunch special a complementary glass of white or red sangria, glass of wine or beer!!! Unbelievable!!!

Location is convenient, but the service is mighty slow. We waited nearly 45 minutes for 2 cafe con leches, 1 flan, 1 order of tostones and 1 cuban sandwich. Really? It's the easiest order to put together, but still waited awhile for it. The cuban sandwich had remnants of aluminum foil inside, the tostones were warm, flan was descent. I'll only give credit to the yummy cafe con leche.

We just moved to the area and were looking forward to having some tasty authentic latin food - not really knowing where to start, this came up on Seamless. Oh my god - We ordered a dish of chorizo that was dry, mealy and served with soggy flavorless streamed salad greens. WE Also ordered mofongo, the first time I've ever had it, and potentially the last, it was nothing more than some sort of dry breading mashed and molded with dry shredded pork (i think) and A TON OF GRISTLE - seriously, its like they have a separate bucket of cartilage and connective tissue in the back and throw it in by the handfull intentionally - i was literally gagging. Also ordered cuban sandwich - which was edible, just edible, dry, flavorless, but i could choke it down b/c i was so hungry from not being able to eat anything else we ordered. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

This is our go to Dominican food joint in Washington Heights. The food is pretty standard stuff but really well done. The pollo al horno is great. The steaks and stews are also really authentic. And the typical Dominican breakfast is also a favorite here. Which consists of mangu and queso frito. Maybe an egg and some fried meat pork product of your choice. Yum!! My wife is Dominican so she does all the ordering over the phone. But for a real treat go in person. The owner apparently knows a lot of the Latin baseball stars around the league. So the walls are adorned with pictures of them posing with him or them at the restaurant. It may be intimidating when you first walk in here if you are not Dominican but once you sit down everyone is real nice.

Could not imagine how this restaurant is still open. After a long day at work thought about this place to order delivery because my roommate recommended the food. PLaced an order online and 5 minutes later i get a call explaining how they ran out of the item that i ordered without even an apology. Fine so i got something similar after waiting literally one Hour and a half so i decided to call not once but three times and no one picked up the phone. After waiting my food finally arrives i tip the gray haired delivery man with glasses 10% for the food that i have been waiting over an hour and a half but then he dares to demand more tip money. Are you serious after not having what i ordered and waiting that long for the food that was not even edible you demand a higher tip. If the OWNER of this establishment ever wants to flourish and stay a neighborhood restaurant you defiantly need better management. Will never order from this place again

This place has great food, I fell in love with them when they delivered to me during hurricane Sandy. I lived at 135th & Lenox, which is not close to 191st & St. Nick. Unfortunately I don't live in NYC anymore, but if I did, they would always get my business

We ordered delivery. All the food was dry and flavorless, plus they got our order wrong. Barely edible, the leftovers went right in the trash. Stay away.

The food from here is good... But the service is not the best in the world. Eating at this location is a bit uncomfortable at times because of the loud music and all the chatter going on. The delivery is fast, but they won't take credit cards over the phone (this might have change in the last few months.)

Pros: Delicious food, good atmosphere and cheap. Cons: The service and the food was slow. Food Experience: We came on Wednesday July 25th, 2013 and it was by far a nice restaurant for where we were. The location isn't great but inside and outside the restaurant looks legit. The food was served to my friends first and the friend pork chop for me was taking forever and my friends were almost finishing their plates so I was just getting disappointed. Conclusion: Overall if you're looking for a good restaurant in a ratchet neighborshood then yes please visit.

The food is on point when it's not being rushed through. Sometimes the platanos maduros are woefully undercooked. Other times it's glorious. Sometimes you get your pollo a la parilla, yellow rice, habichuelas, and mojito sauce and it's very close to what you get in the Bronx. Other times they give two rinky dink pieces of the runt chicken and lame apologies for f**king up your order. Slow down and get the order right. Otherwise why bother?

Terrible service over the phone. The restaurant is always loud, so they have to ask you to repeat everything at least 5 times. The lady taking phone orders doesn't speak English well. I couldn't even place my order because she hung up on me 4 times. I asked to speak to the manager, and she lied and said he is not there. So I came in person to speak to the manager and he ignored me. I used to go here every day. Never again. They just lost a good customer.

THE WORST RESTAURANT IN WASHINGTON HEIGHTS! Don't go here. The service is horrible to begin with I order 2 pastelitos as appetizer and they were uncooked which got me really stomach sick when I approach the server and told her she just said "oh " and left it at the table on top of that didn't even void it from the check! Hours laters I'm at my friends house and she Oders a lunch from them and they sent the wrong order( she order rice and black beans with chicken) and they sent one drumstick of the chicken ONE AND THATS WHAT THEY CONSIDER LUNCH ONE DRUMSTICK OF CHIKEN! And she sent red beans. This is the worst place don't eat here there are better Latin restaurants such as Kukaramakara and Southbeach! Miserable restaurant = el nuevo caridad

I absolutely love the rotisserie chicken at this place and it is super affordable! I much prefer to have a good meal at a local spot than pay for ambiance and mediocre food at a downtown location.

This is my first time ordering from this place, let me just say that the delivery guy just dropped off the food and said "God Bless You" THAT MADE ME FEEL SO AWESOME! Who gives service like that?! That was great. The dish that I'm eating now is delicious, will definitely order from them again.

Food: Good typical Dominican food! Delicious! Service: Servers are super friendly! Expect to wait for the food, because it's fresh I'm assuming! But definitely give it a try!
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
